The Portuguese word "saudade" is virtually untranslatable. It describes a melancholic longing or nostalgia for a person, place, or thing that is far away. A feeling that is more likely to be experienced than translated. No matter how you pronounce it, "saudade" is actually always pronounced correctly. Depending on the region in Portugal or Brazil, it sounds different anyway.
